 Attacks near strait: Three vessels were hit by projectiles near the Strait of Hormuz, the UK’s maritime agency said. Sources told CNN Tehran had begun laying mines in the key waterway.
• Historic oil release: Countries have agreed to release a record 400 million barrels of oil in an effort to stem prices as the crucial strait remains effectively closed.
• Ramping up strikes: Iran claimed it launched its “heaviest operation” since the start of the war, and Israel said it had begun an “additional wave” of strikes in Tehran Wednesday.
• Death toll: More than 1,300 Iranians have been killed since the conflict started, according to Iran’s UN ambassador, and at least 630 people are reported to have been killed in Lebanon since Israel began strikes last week.
• Supreme leader: Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had a fractured foot and facial lacerations on the first day of the war, a source tells CNN. Khamenei has not been seen in public since his election on Sunday.
