Hey Beauties, it’s time for my holiday look inspirations Chapter 2!
For this next look “The Eyes Have It ” It’s a combination of a very bold eye look and a more simple lip look so as not to be too over the top. I have such a love for eyeshadow personally, I enjoy that you can be extremely creative with eye shadows. This is a great holiday look for those who are not scared of being the center of attention.
Eyes:
I applied the Violet Voss Holy Grail eye makeup pallet to my eyes. I used shades transition and awesome sauce and toffee on the lid and I used the crystal to highlight the brow bone as well as wine n dine and cranberry splash in the crease. The eyeliner pen used is by Mary Kay cosmetics in black and brows are done with Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pomade in chocolate. My lashes are extensions ( from Lash Out Lounge and Spa in Oakville ) and the mascara for the bottom is Too Faced better than sex mascara.
Primer:
My eyes were primed using urban decay shadow potion and my face was primed using Nyx Cosmetics angel veil. The foundation is key here because you want this look to last way into the night long after you have taken your shoes off ( heels are always the first to go ouch!!).
Foundation and Concealer:
For my foundation, I used my Ride or Die Mac Cosmetics Pro long wear in shade nw20 and I used urban decay naked concealer in shade light warm on my under eye area and contoured with it as well in the t zone area and pay attention to that area around your nose. Sadly we all know that the winter means cold season so best to use a little concealer there to hide the redness and broken blood vessels most of us have right now. This was all set with Mac studio fix powder in nw25 and Nyx Finishing powder.
Contour and Blush:
To make those cheeks stand out I used the Kat Von D Beauty contour palette in lucid and somber ( because I am pale ugh I miss my tan ) and to add a little kiss of glow I used Tarte Cosmetics 12-Hour Amazonian clay blush in Unstoppable.
Highlighter, Lips, Setting Spray:
I took glow to that next level with Jeffree Star skin frost in the shade Ice Cold to embrace that inner ice princess and we kept the lips simple but beautiful using Mary Kay Cosmetics gel semi-matte lipstick in Mauve Moment. A little tip to help this look go the distance in Urban Decay All-nighter setting spray.
Having fun and experimenting with makeup is perfect throughout the holiday season. Holiday parties allow us to see people we haven’t seen in a while or to just connect with our coworkers in new ways. This is a time of love, compassion, and giving and it’s a season I love to remind people that they are beautiful. Makeup doesn’t change who you are just be creative and let the real you come out. I hope you all have a safe and Happy Holiday and stay tuned next week for look number three and a little spoiler it’s all about the lips !!!
