Hey Beauties,
Just as a special for this holiday season, I will be posting one-holiday look per week to help give you guys some ideas for the holidays and into New Year’s looks. This first look I love for those office parties that we all want to shine at. It’s time for our co-workers to see that we aren’t just that girl or guy in the office, but at the same time, we don’t want to be so far out there that sacrifice our reputation.
Eyes:
On my eyes I am using this beautiful palette that was sent to me from ByCharlotte Tilbury Luxury eyeshadow palette in Vintage Vamp $64 at charlottetilbury.com You have probably seen 2 of her lipsticks in my top 5 holiday red lipsticks and if you haven’t I will Link it for you here.
Now this eye shadow palette is gorgeous I love the colors but if you want to use shimmers or any eye shadow look that you want to last please please please make sure to prime your eyes with a good eye shadow primer. For this look, I used the $26 Urban Decay eyeshadow primer Potion which I bought from urbandecay.ca, but you could use any other good primer you like as long as it’s a good one.
This eye shadow quad has 4 very luxurious shadows all housed in a Gold compact case that is so pretty it’s a shame you have to put it in your bag. (spoiler alert this palette made my holiday list that’s coming out later this week!). I used Prime and pPopon on my lid and I used Enhance and Smoke in the Crease blending it all
Foundation, Concealer:
Now the foundation is by MAC Cosmetics pro long wear in NW20 at maccosmetics.ca which has been my winter ride-or-die for some time now. It does exactly as the name suggests it does give you great all-day wear and morchas so many shades you really can find a great match for your skin. The concealer is by urban decay naked weightless complete coverage in the shade light and warm $35 at urbandecay.ca.I used the Tweezerman pointed foundation brush and a beauty blender pro for blending.
Lips:
On my lips, I used Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Red Vixen $for 28 at charlottetilbury.com for a more subtle red and I love that it’s a vibrant luxurious feel to it. Her line is rare, it is always something special when a makeup artist creates a line because they know how much of a pain it is to find things that go the distance.
The liner on my lips is by Nyx Cosmetics lip pencil in the shade plum $5 at nyxcosmetics.ca just to deepen the tone and help prevent it from moving as glosses tend to do. ( Artist tips warm the liner up by applying a little to your hand before going to your lips for a smoother/ easier application).
Eye Liner:
My eyeliner for this look is by Mary Kay Cosmetics Liquid eyeliner pen $20 at marykay.ca and for the price of this liner is it quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
And contour is the Kat Von D contour palette in somber and lucid ( I also used lucid to help set me undereye and my highlight is from a palette by Lord & Taylor but it doesn’t tell me the color name
The final tip I love mac fix and prime spray for this time of year I usually spray it before and after my makeup application to stop my skin from looking dry so if you have dryer skin like me it makes a difference. I used Smashbox oil primer underneath ( as I said my skin gets dryer tthana bounce sheet in the winter) and urban decay all-nighter setting spray on top.
I hope you all shine this holiday season ( send me some pictures I want to see your creations )
